A ready-made GetMCP server: import the file, add your own key and ask. How to import it

Find two hours a day next week for the Bluebird proposal.

Tool call: calendar__list_events calendar=primary

Tool call: tasks__query_database Tasks

Your mornings are free on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday and Friday have calls until 11:00, so 14:00 to 16:00 works on those days.

Shall I add the five blocks to your calendar?

Yes, call them Bluebird proposal.

Tool call: calendar__create_event summary="Bluebird proposal"

What changes

The work is the same. Where you do it moves from a row of tabs to one conversation.

Before

  • Flip between your calendar and your task list
  • Guess how much time each task needs
  • Drag focus blocks around by hand
  • Notice a clash on the morning itself

After

  • Ask what next week looks like, tasks included
  • Claude finds the free time around your meetings
  • The blocks land on your calendar when you agree
  • Ask again when the week changes

Things you can ask

Copy one into Claude once the server is connected.

  • What does next week look like?
  • Find two hours a day next week for the Bluebird proposal.
  • Which Notion tasks are due before Friday?
  • Add a 30-minute review every Friday afternoon in November.
  • Which tasks have no due date yet?
  • Read me the notes on the Northwind task.

Set it up

Two templates, one server each, both reached through one Gateway address. You need a Google OAuth token for your calendar and a Notion integration token.

Skip the setup: import the ready-made servers

  1. Download the files.
  2. In GetMCP, open Servers, click Import and choose the file.
  3. Add a Google access token and a Notion integration token: keys go in the server's Authentication tab, anything else in its connection variables.
  4. Switch on the Gateway and connect Claude to it. To connect to the server's own address instead, create an access key for it first.

Or build it yourself:

  1. Create a Calendar server from the Google Calendar template

It adds tools to list calendars and events, and to create and delete events. Add your Google OAuth token.

  2. Create a Tasks server from the Notion template

Add your Notion integration token, then share your tasks database with that integration in Notion.

  3. Turn on the Gateway and connect Claude

Both servers sit behind one address, so Claude sees your calendar and your tasks together.

The tools on this server

What Claude can call on this server. Leave the tools that change data switched off until you trust the setup.

ToolWhat it doesChanges data
list_calendars Lists the calendars on your Google account No
list_events Lists events in a date range No
create_event Adds an event to a calendar Yes
delete_event Removes an event from a calendar Yes
search_pages Finds Notion pages by title No
retrieve_page Opens one Notion page No
query_database Reads the rows of a Notion database, such as your tasks No

Questions about this setup

Can Claude change my existing meetings?

Not with these templates. They add and delete events but don't edit them. Switch delete_event off if Claude should only add time blocks.

Can it tick off tasks in Notion?

The Notion template only reads pages and databases. Connect Claude to GetMCP itself and ask it to add an update tool from the Notion API docs.

Why two servers?

Each template signs in to its own app. The Gateway puts both behind one address, and each tool name starts with its server's name, so Claude knows which app it is using.

How long does the Google token last?

A Google access token expires after an hour. For a connection that lasts, switch the Calendar server's authentication to OAuth with your own Google Cloud client, and GetMCP refreshes the token for you.
